What the site offers

Reliability scores, complaint and recall counts, fuel economy tables, guides and calculators about cars sold in the United States, free of charge.

General, unofficial information

motorwick is an independent site. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any government agency or to any organization named on the site. Figures, dates and other data are unofficial copies or estimates for general information only. Nothing on the site is financial, tax, legal, medical or safety advice. Always check the official source before you rely on a number. Complaint counts are reports filed by owners with NHTSA; NHTSA does not verify them and a complaint does not prove a defect. Scores and labels are our own calculation. Recall lists may be incomplete for a given vehicle: check the VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls or with a dealer. Nothing here is advice on whether to buy, keep or drive a vehicle.

NHTSA complaints, recalls, investigations and crash test ratings: public domain. EPA fuel economy data: public domain (EPA Standard Open Data License). EIA gasoline prices: public domain, source cited. U.S. sales by model: compiled from automaker reports.
